Dr. Andrews is a physicist (Ph.D, 1987, North Texas State Univ.) and computer scientist that came to accident reconstruction through his background in computer modeling. He began his work in accident reconstruction in 1987. Since that time, he has provided his expert opinion in hundreds of cases. He is a co-owner of Complete Accident Reconstruction Service, Inc. He currently serves as the Vice President/President Elect of the Texas Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialist (TAARS) and is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS), and the American Physical Society (APS). The Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) has accredited Dr. Andrews. He has taught several courses related to collision reconstruction through the Law Enforcement and Security Training Division of the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a part of The Texas A&M University System. He also teaches Astronomy and Physics at several local colleges. He has qualified as an expert in local, state and federal courts.
Mr. Montgomery has a Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas State University in Broad Field Social Sciences and has done graduate work at Texas A&M University in Curriculum Design. He was a Dallas Police Officer for fifteen years including seven years as the late night Traffic Supervisor. In 1986, he was a founding co-owner of Complete Accident Reconstruction Service, Inc. From 1986 to 2002 was employed by at the Law Enforcement and Security Training Division of the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), a part of The Texas A&M University System. He was in charge of the motor vehicle collision and reconstruction program. Mr. Montgomery was the founding president of TAARS, and has served as Chairman and Board member for ACTAR. He is a Certified Fleet Safety Specialist through the Texas Motor Transportation Association (TMTA) and has qualified as an expert in local, state, and federal courts.
Mr. Self holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Abilene Christian University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Mathematics. He also holds Advanced and Instructor Certificates from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. Mr. Self served as an active police officer for the City of Dallas Police Department for 24 years. Mr. Self was an instructor with the Law Enforcement and Security Training Division of the Texas Engineering Extension for 8 years. He was responsible for coordinating the specialty courses and seminars relating to traffic collision investigation and for providing instruction in collision investigation and reconstruction. He has been a Training Specialist with GE I-Sim Driver Development Services. Mr. Self is a past-President of TAARS. He has also served as the Vice-President and Region II Director for the association. Mr. Self is ACTAR accredited, is fleet safety certified through the TMTA – National Motor Fleet Safety program. He has testified as an expert witness in Accident Investigation and Reconstruction in numerous local civil courts and State Civil and Criminal District Courts.
